There are a plethora of resources available to help you build your graphic novel collection. Professional periodicals such as VOYA and School Library Journal now have graphic novel reviews. There are plenty of print resources (and more are coming out all the time) on building your library’s graphic novel collection and using graphic novels in teaching or for programming, as well as on the history of comics and graphic novels. And, of course, the online sources are almost endless. Blogs, websites, podcasts, all sorts of resources on collection development and the portrayal of women.
